Justice in Islam
Justice in Islam is a very fundamental value. All teachings of Islam call for justice. Worldview Justice denotes placing things in their rightful place.
As for Islam, the concept of justice is much more than that. Islamic justice is much more comprehensive as it includes:
Social justice, restorative justice ,criminal justice dispensing justice, economic justice and gender justice.
Social justice in Islam :
Islam teaches us to treat people on the bases of freedom, equality and fairness.
Fairness system in Islam has witnessed great improvement.
In Islam, Fairness is designed to serve people according to what God wants and to save their rights.
justice and Equality in Islam are so essential that there is no difference between people in front of fairness of Islam.
No one is above Islamic law ,so all people have equal treatment and everyone takes what they already deserve without discrimination or stereotyping.
Islam encourages Justice as Allah SWT SAYS in the Quran :
This verse cited above indicates how much Muslims care for justice in all its shapes.
Every Muslim know that how much the Prophet Muhammad and his companions cared for implementing fairness in society.
Justice towards non Muslims:
From principles of Islam religion is that it doesn’t judge people according to what they believe.
Justice in Islamic practice is to respect everyone.
Every human has his legal rights that must be fulfilled.
And there is quotes that state that Omar Ibn Al Khattab punished the sun of Amr Ibn Al-Aas, who was one of the great companions , as this son was aggressive to one of the non Muslims living in Egypt.
Post-Conflict justice :
When the prophet Mohammad came to mecca after years of migration, he didn’t depend on punishment policy to take revenge of his previous enemies.
Instead, he published forgiveness and justice which established the political position of the Islamic nation.
Establishing justice in Islam not revenge after the great conflicts is one of the most important foundations that protect community from collapse.
Each chapter of our great Islamic historic pages is full of examples like that.
The treatment of any society problem is based on giving the victims their rights and to prevent injustice.
As Equity between citizens act as a barrier against any social devision that lead to enemy interference.
That was an abstract about justice in Islam that if implemented, peace will prevail.
So we believe that Quran that God revealed to the prophet contains all teachings that make people lead a good life.
You can’t find the rights of citizens cited in our religion in any other published books.
