Prime Minister Roble orders election commissions to resume parliamentary elections tomorrow

Friday, January 14, 2022 (HOL) – Somalia’s Prime Minister Mohamed Hussein Roble has announced that parliamentary elections will resume tomorrow, Saturday.

The prime minister has instructed all electoral commissions to start holding by-elections in all six constituencies.

“The solution we have is elections. I say to my friends and I, first and foremost to the states, that we should conduct the elections as soon as possible. said the Prime Minister.

The prime minister said the government and all parties are committed to ending the election on time.

Speaking on the security situation in the country, Prime Minister Roble instructed the security agencies to focus on maintaining security in the country, instructing the security agencies not to get involved in politics and to concentrate their efforts on fighting Al Shabaab.
