Monday, January 24, 2022 (HOL) – The President of the Somali Regional State Mustafe Cagjar has welcomed the decision of the Federal Government of Somalia to remove the ONLF from the terrorist list.

President Mustafe Cagjar also said that the previous decision of the ONLF to recognize him as a terrorist was an act of terror against the oppressed people of the Somali regional government, as well as a violation of the culture of governance, Somalia and Islam. .

President Mustafe Cagjar also criticized other areas for handing over Somali fighters to the enemy, saying, “We also condemn similar acts in other parts of Somalia, handing over Somali fighters to the enemy. We do not condone the areas where Somali fighters have been handed over to the enemy, “he said.

Finally, President Mustafe Cagjar said that these previous actions should be instructive enough for all the perpetrators, and called for an apology.

The Somali government has previously declared the ONLF a terrorist organization, and at the same time Abdikarim Sheikh Muse, one of the top ONLF officials, was handed over to the Ethiopian government, which was at war with the ONLF.

The Ogaden National Liberation Front (ONLF), which has been active in the Somali regional state since its inception in Ethiopia, has been operating peacefully in the Somali regional state, removing Ethiopia from the list of terrorists and recognizing it as an organization fighting for its people. .
