Monday, February 14, 2022 (HOL) – The Galmudug Electoral Commission (GEC) will hold four by-elections this morning, two of which will include Wadajir party leader Abdirahman Abdishakur and former NISA deputy director Abdullahi Kulane.
The toughest contest is expected to be a single seat with a total of seven female candidates, the first seat with such a large number of candidates.
The election of these candidates will take place in Dhusamareb, and is one of the most talked about elections, with opposition and conservatives expected to emerge.
Candidate Abdullahi Kulane wrote on his Twitter account that he is a member of parliament, and it is a lesson learned from this election that the candidates who are coming forward are already known.
