Monday, February 28, 2022 (HOL) – Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy says he expects no positive results from the Belarusian border talks between his government and Russia, while praising his people for their resilience.
He said he entered the talks so that his people would not think he was withdrawing from the peace process, and he did not accept the talks.
“To tell you the truth, I do not believe this meeting will be successful, but it was just for me to try, so that the Ukrainian people do not think I refused to stop fighting when there was little chance,” Zelenskyy said.
The people of Ukraine have been praised by President Zelensky for their resilience and courage.
“Heroes of Ukraine, this is the 5th day that Russia has launched a full-scale offensive against the Ukrainian people. We are still standing and we are getting something that other people cannot get in their lives. with “said Zelenskyy.
Preliminary reports from talks between the Ukrainian and Russian delegations indicate that neither side has yet made any concessions.
