Tuesday, March 1, 2022 (HOL) – The former commander of the Somali National Army, Major General Dahir Aden Elmi Indho-Qarshe, has accused Galmudug state president, Ahmed Abdikarin Qororor, of refusing to run for his family’s seat.
Major General Dahir Adan Elmi Indho-Qarshe held a press conference in Galkayo and called on Prime Minister Roble and the Electoral Commission to suspend the rejected seat, as long as a clear path is paved.
“There are many tribes with four seats without a girl. The law says that if the family has three seats, one seat for women. We in Galmudug have two seats. If the big families are exempt from women, how can we both a chair for women, “said Indha-qarshe.
The Galmudug Electoral Commission (GEC) has released its election manifesto for Indho-qarshe, the hop20 candidate, last night.
