Man City advance to FA Cup quarter-finals with victory over Peterborough United

The first half ended goalless as Peterborough sometimes threatened City with a solid defense.

City dominated possession but the solution was lacking which came in the second half after two balls from Foden.

City’s defensive prowess in the first half led to the manager bringing Laporte and Stones back to Ake and Dias.

After the substitutions, City took the ball to the hosts’ goal area until scoring in the 60th and 67th minutes through Riyad and Grealish and Foden.

Peterborough United were trying but were killed by a quick decision despite two real chances denied by the Man City goalkeeper.

City were also looking for more goals but showed a bit of fatigue and the risk of their ball coming from the right wing.

However, the game ended in a two-goal victory for City and it is worth noting that Pep’s side were very good in the second half.
