Tuesday, March 8, 2022 (HOL) – Wadani Party Presidential candidate Abdirahman Mohamed Abdillahi Irro, once again, opposed the Somaliland government’s plan to advance the party elections.
Irro said the presidential election will be the first, and the three existing parties will enter.
“I am telling the people of Somaliland that the presidential election is scheduled for November 13, 2022, there is no dispute and no one can dispute, what the three existing national parties are doing is legal,” said Cirro.
Irro said only the presidential election is now ready.
He also said that the election of the opening of political parties is behind the presidential election.
He said neither party leaders nor the president could decide how to proceed with the elections, which is a matter for the electoral commission.
