Puntland President Appoints and Dismisses His Cabinet

Thursday, March 31, 2022 (HOL) – Puntland President Said Abdullahi Deni has appointed and reshuffled some of his cabinet members, including ministers, deputy ministers and state ministers.

President Deni has fired some of his ministers during his term in office, replacing them with new faces, while also filling the vacancies of ministers who joined the two houses of the Somali parliament.

1. Abdirahman Aideed Ibrahim will be replaced by the Minister of Labor, Employment, Youth and Sports.

2. Abdullahi Abdi Hirsi as Minister of Relief and Disaster Management

3. Ahmed Shire Said as Minister of Agriculture

2. Dr. Nacimo Abdirahman Guled appointed Minister of Women and Family Development

3. Dr. Carshe Mohamed Said Aw-Muse appointed Minister of Energy, Minerals & Water

4. Mohamed Abdullahi Ahmed (Libaax) Minister of Livestock
