One person was killed and three others were injured early Sunday morning in a shooting at a bar in the Northland Area, the second shooting at that location in months.

Around 2:15 a.m., Columbus police responded to Doll House, a bar located at the 1600 block of Karl Ct., for a report of gunfire. When police arrived, they discovered an man, Charles T. Smith, 37, suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. Medics pronounced Smith dead around 2:27 a.m.

Medics also transported two other victims, a 23-year-old and 24-year-old to the hospital in stable condition for their injuries. A fourth victim was treated at the scene and released with a graze wound.

Police are searching for suspects, but did not release details about what events led to the shooting.

The fatal shooting at the Northland bar is the second shooting at that location in five months. On Sept. 27, at least five people were shot at the Doll House in an apparent argument that turned into gunfire.

“One of the combatants produced a handgun and fired multiple times at several victims,” police said in a news release. Three victims, all men ages 22, 22 and 27, were struck in the feet and legs.

Another victim not listed in the news release left the scene and did not go to a hospital, while a woman sustained what police are calling “an extremely minor injury.”
