The two-seeded Buckeyes regained momentum with a dominant first-round NCAA Tournament win against Maine. Ohio State is led by Big Ten Coach of the Year Kevin McGuff, the two-seeded Buckeyes will have two first-team All-Big Ten recipients — Jacy Sheldon and Cotie McMahon — along with Big Ten Defensive Player of the Year Celeste Taylor.
Duke: No. 7 Duke stormed back against No. 10 Richmond in the first round of the NCAA Tournament, led by junior Reigan Richardson, a second-team All-ACC honoree who leads the team with 11.5 points per game. The Blue Devils finished tied for seventh in the ACC with rival North Carolina and lost in the ACC tournament to NC State.
