One person died and two others suffered injuries Tuesday evening in a crash involving a COTA bus on East Livingston Avenue in Bexley, according to a Columbus Division of Police report.
Kevin Jones, 24, died in the crash that happened at 11:16 p.m. on East Livingston Avenue, just west of Wellesley Road, police said.
The COTA bus was stopped at the intersection when Jones rear-ended the bus with a red Toyota Corolla, Columbus police said.
Medics took Jones to OhioHealth Grant Medical Center, where he later died. The driver of the COTA bus and a passenger from Jones’s car were also hospitalized but are in stable condition and are expected to survive.
The cause of the of the crash remains under investigation, according to the police report.
